Core Operational & Documentation
Physical Custody & Examination: Be The Designated Person To Present And Process Import/Export Cargo For Customs Examination/Inspection In The Air Cargo Complex (Acc).
Liaison With Customs: Independently Interact With Customs Officers (Appraisers, Examiners) And Custodian Staff (Aaiclas/Other Terminal Operators) Regarding Cargo Clearance And Examination.
Document Endorsement: Endorse And Sign Key Documents Like The Bill Of Entry (B/E) Or Shipping Bill (S/B) Checklist, Examination Orders, And Final Clearance Documents, Certifying The Correctness Of The Physical Process.
Sampling: Arrange And Witness The Drawing Of Cargo Samples For Testing/Analysis As Directed By Customs.
Cargo Verification: Physically Verify The Quantity, Weight, Marks, And Numbers Of The Cargo Against The Documents (B/E, S/B, Airway Bill, Etc.).
Compliance & Statutory
Process Integrity: Ensure The Entire Physical Clearance Process Adheres Strictly To The Customs Act, 1962, Cblr, 2018, And All Relevant Circulars/Notifications.
Record Keeping: Maintain A Detailed Log Of All Consignments Handled, Including Examination Reports, Detention Memos, And Clearance Timelines.
Discrepancy Reporting: Immediately Report Any Discrepancies In Cargo (Short Landing, Excess, Damage, Mis-Declaration) To The Operations Manager For Prompt Resolution.
Internal Coordination
Team Supervision: Supervise And Direct The H-Card Holder And Other Ground Staff During Cargo Movement And Stuffing/De-Stuffing Operations.
Handover: Conduct Proper Handover Of The `Let Export Order (Leo)` Or `Out Of Charge (Ooc)` Documents To The Delivery/Shipping Agents.
